Chico and Delamar

I used to listen to them way back in college and their home base was Rx 93.1. I even reached the point wherein I would regularly send morning messages to one of their show segments. Hard to admit but I really liked their songs especially the goodbye song. Sadly, the duo changed loyalties and moved to another station who changed their program format. Their familiar chemistry sound OA to me and i just focused myself back to studying. After a while they decided to back to their old station but fortunately did not sound like the same duo before. Maybe I am growing old and maybe they are for the younger ones...

Radio Moments

Can't help to reminisce the old fm stuff around the 80's - 90's. Ipod was not even the in thing back then and mostly walkman's or discman's we favored by the masses.

- Chico and Delamar (Rx 93.1) used to be cool around the 90's. However, they were not after switching to another radio station and coming back. Sometimes their jokes are too lame and sometimes too noisy. Too many "pa-cute" moments which makes listening to them a hassle.

- When the ratings game between then upcoming bands E-Heads and Rivermaya were at it's finest. Not much airtime was given to bubble gum pop or those corny disco songs.

- Talk show (strange brew, mornings with Zach & Joey, and the likes) were fun to listen to. Regardless of what time the show would start - listening to them is a treat!

- When Quest Broadcasting did not (yet) a bunch of radio FM stations.

rant post

- Some people who works at the 4f area of my office has the tendency to leave landmines in the men's room toilet area. Looks like they forgot that they were supposed to flush the toilet after using it.

- Some employees forget to throw used tissue papers to the trash bin. They just leave lying around the floor. Sometimes they just ignore it when they don't shoot it into the trash bin.

- Comic book enthusiast who feel they own the comic book world. Whenever a comic newbie says something wrong about a certain or character - they always go on ballistic mode and release a litany of explanations. They should have first thought that everyone is human and not perfect. We cannot expect anyone to know the history of each comic book character and their lives. Can't we have a normal conversation even though there might some wrong details that might show up.

I Miss the Old Building

I haven't felt that good moving over to (even getting adjusted to the new the site) the new building

- the company does not have that family business like atmosphere anymore
- i am having a really hard time going home from work. it's feeling like i am walkingfive hundred meters before i can get a decent ride home
- the starbucks store nearby takes about 10-20mins (one has to walk and there's no shuttle service)
- there's no convenience store nearby and one has to bring their own packed lunch
- no atm to easily get the needed money
- no nearby weekend market to enjoy home cooked meals

annoying people

There was a group of Indian or middle eastern types who were riding the ferry from Puerto Galera heading back to Batangas Pier. They were rowdy and noisy. They were drinking beer inside the ferry and was shouting/singing/clapping wildy as the boat was hit by big waves. Very little concern for the other passengers who were worried about the trip. Sorry for the grainy video. I was just using my camphone to watch how they make a fool of themselves.

whatever post...

Let me give the links that would best describe what I am feeling right now...

brotherly love, badinger z, and lastly life oh life...

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

My dog had another epileptic seizure episode an hour ago. I heard my biased non-biological mother scream our dog's name (because our dog can't move and was practically frozen) but was standing there and doing nothing (except scream). Closet gay brother was screaming like a faggot. He or I mean she was screaming as well (it's starting to be annoying).

I skipped checking my blog and ran downstairs to aid our dog. I tried cold water with sugar therapy but it was like an eternity for the cure to take it's effect on our poor sweet dog. I motioned to my closet gay brother to shut up (I used the universal body language to calmly say that one needs to shut up!) because he's only adding to the confusion inside the house.

Lo and behold! My closet gay brother barged out of our house and was practically screaming like shit. Sounded like he was happy with my gesture towards him. My biased non-biological mother (who disappeared for some time) appeared again and with her is the equally biased non-biological husband (father as well). My biased non-biological father screamed at me to shut up. The biased non-biological mother even had the guts to tell me to sut up as well and was at the side of her closet gay son (who was pleading that she or I mean he was a victim of my hot headedness.)

Wow! So i'm the stupid bastard of the story again! I tried to calmly express my side but the biased non-biological mother said to me (point blank) that I have a quick fuse and I should count 1 - 10. Oh! She also told me to shut up as well. What the?! How is that connected to the issue? I told biased non-biological mother that I only motioned the universal body language to shut up in a nice way to the closet gay son because she or was it he was not helping at all.

My explanation went nowhere and I was awarded the greatest stupid bastard son for the nth time. How I wish that I had enough money to move out from this hole and have my own peace of mind.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

closet gay son - does not work despite being aged 22 and still in college. enjoys the prestige of studying in a nice school along a well known avenue in Manila

biased non-biological mother - on leave from being a so-called great teacher at a school that is located near a university that has a flying animal for a school mascot and is also beside another university whose known for student activism

biased non-biological - i've been using this term to label the kind of treatment that i've been getting from my biological parents. i'm starting to think if i am indeed their son or if i'm just adopted.

*attached are the pics of closet gay brother as well together with his so-called best friend/schoolmate/closet boyfriend...

Absolute disgust with the MMDA...

I can't help myself listen to my mom talking to a fruit vendor yesterday morning. The fruit vendor was complaining that a government keeps on harassing them because they were illegally occupying spaces (pedestrian sidewalk) for their small business. The people who were in charge of cleaning up the pedestrian sidewalk belong to an agency call Metro manila Development Authority (MMDA). MMDA is currently being led by a former named Bayani Fernando. I got to give my kudos to this Bayani guy but I am not happy with his heartless campaigns to cleanse the city of all dirt and grime. The goofs that this man keep are in charge of cleaning up the pedestrian sidewalks and clearing away all unnecessary obstacles. I was annoyed that these man had the guts to take away the poor fruit vendor's car and her fruits without even thinking that she had to borrow money just to sell. They could have tried looking for a better place to relocate the vendors but no initiative about that. All they care is clean the pedestrian sidewalk and eat what they confiscate. Oh yes! Eat what they have taken away from the vendor. Well! Freebie which should not be a freebie at all. Freeloaders taking pride in taking away other people's means of living without even thinking that they can just hand out a hefty fine, clean the place, and let the vendor go. Their main excuse - it's the ordinance! Oh yes! Finely made ordinance without even looking at the long term effect. Just clean up the place and get whatever you can see from any illegal vendor. What a waste of my tax. This Bayani guys roots for the country's president who has a checkered past and obviously a questionable reputation when it comes to nation building. I would laugh my heart out if someone takes out their anger and do some nice graffiti work on Bayani's La Vista house. He asked for it...

No More Mp3 Downloads via Multiply

Yep! As what the title says... No more happy days wherein you can take a peek at the music content of your contact here in Multiply. First it was music search disabled and then download option (disabled) as of today. I won't be surprised because record companies, song writers, and the rest are complaining about losing money because of illegal downloads. I just hope there's an online store that sells music tracks at anice price (i'm not much into buying albums unless it's that necessary). I'd rather sample tracks then compile what I like. The price and the quality of an original audio cd here in PI sucks (sometimes because the cd's gets easily scratched unlike the imported ones). Anyways, i'll just wait and see what happens next :)

Friendster anyone???

I was going thru some topics via one of the online forums that I've been spending sometime and found something about "Friendster" very interesting.
The topic is "Mga nakakabwisit na gawain sa Friendster" or simply translated as "Annoying things made in Friendster". Here are some of the opinions of the forum members.

1. Loud music (with matching poor quality audio) from a friendster account

2. People who ABUSE the bulletin board. They keep on posting the same old nonsense and keeping out the important posts.

3. Pathetic people who beg for comments or testomonials every single hour. The nerve to be angry if you fail to give them one (as if they die with lack of testimonials).

4. Send a message to someone and they don't get it

5. Stupid chain mails and stupid title (especially those who say something serious happened but nothing really happend)

6. Chain letters which involve religion stuff (authors fail to give respect to others)

7. Bulletin Board messages posted 10x (same message in one page)

8. Too many videos (sometimes my browser's frozen just by loading the whole page)

9. You get a message or a notice that your friendster account will be deleted (but it's all false)

10. SPAM!

multiply.com + music search + disabled

Awwww! It's sad to know that multiply.com pulled out the plug from it's music search option. I was trying to look around for mp3's of my favorite artist before buying their cd. Lo and behold and the music category search went missing. No official note from multiply and can't find it from google either. I was able to see one multiply user saying that record companies might be complaning that they are losing money because songs can be downloaded easily from multiply (try to lower down the songs that you're selling and i'll think twice-maybe...)

Either they can sell the songs like itunes...

Globe at it AGAIN!

Yesterday I tried to avail of the Unlitxt80 (all day texting) of my beloved mobile provider. I got a very informative reply after a few minutes of my request that it's not available anymore. Wow! Right timing and Christmas is just around the corner. I called up up their cust service hot line and was told that the "promo' is not available anymore. Too bad that i've just renewed my two year contract with them. Another black eye with my 11 year relationship with my beloved (ack!) mobile subscriber. Anyways, they're making a run for the profits at this time of the year. They owners of the company might use the profit to renovate their mall which was a victim of a bomb explosion a few weeks ago.

stomach ache went worse

It all started after I ate expired cheese breads (expiration date was Dec. 10 and I ate it 2 days after). I was hoping that it's ok to eat since I had it refrigerated after I bought it from the supermarket. Ate some pringles (sour cream flavor) and i think it added to the mess. Woke up the next day feeling dizzy and nauseous. I was throwing up while I was getting ready for work and I had to attend a small family gathering by a distant relative. Arrived at work feeling more nauseous and went to the washroom ASAP! Was making call audits and the funny thing is that I had to go to the washroom and answer the call of nature. I was doing that racket for 11 hours and my back was aching from all the washroom visits that i have been making.

lesson learned...

never eat expired cheese breads
never eat pringles (sour cream)

Silvertoes

There are those days that a person can really push you to punch them or least slap them in the head or better yet iggy them.

- Whiners! You make some favors for them and still they complain. Do some more favors for them and still they complain. WTF! Don't be such a crybaby or further more don't show me your flaw. In all my four years in this industry; i have never met anyone with such attitude problem like this whiner. Now you show me your bitchiness and i'll be glad to return the favor. This is work and not a playground. This is not your house and not your kingdom.

Hitlist

1. "Unionbank" as the new payroll account?! WTF! Hopefully the payroll boys knows what they're getting into (and get ready for violent reactions coming from the whole operations team). When i used to work with Teletech - I experienced that 2-3 days of late payout. Oh well...You never thought of asking anyone's opinion and listened to yours...Maybe you can pay my credit card if ever my salary payout will be delayed...

2. It's hard to accept someone giving you a command without being given instructions on what to do (am no magician!). Another irony is that they they just add more headaches to our daily grind and we get nothing back at all. Makes me want to bring along my Dilbert book from last year and ponder the evils of those people in the wrong places.

3. This kiddo who's not yet a college graduate but acts like a graduate. Well, something like that. He has a brand new set of shirts and pants every weekend. Makes me wonder where he gets the money to buy all those stuff in his cabinet.

Kay aga agang pang iinis! Badinger Z AMP!

Kaya ayun naglinis ako ng wala sa oras (buong kwarto nilinis ko just to be sure). May nakita pa akong half empty na yakult bottle (shet! isang pang source ng langgam)

Nag multiple text na ako na "DONT EAT IN MY ROOM, DONT USE MY LAPTOP, YOU EAT DOWNSTAIRS!"

It was her phone and I bought it for her. He lost his phone so he should buy a new one himself (or he can ask fafa to buy him a new one instead). At!

I N I S (the usual reasons)

1. You go to work and get a shabby treatment from your fellow co-workers. The hard part is that i am trying to be perky and happy at the start of the shift; unfortunately someone (actually there were lots of them) has the guts to mess my day. The courage to go to my desk (a few minutes later) to ask my help and they don't even have that "frown" in their faces. Dude! Get a life!

2. Those morons who has the courage to make a video of themselves while at work. You should have know that it is "prohibited" to do that and still you were able to do it. Now see and feel the after effects of your stupidity. Cellphones are banned from the floor. Stupid morons!
