2 days of Food Trip

Thursday - We were treated to a dinner from Gerry's Grill. I think the fund came from the contest that we won a few weeks ago. The only that was missing was beer. Hehehe :p

Friday - We received a nice dinner treat from Max's Restaurant. This is because our account celebrated it's one year of existence here in the country. Well...Keep the blessings coming so everyone would be happy :)

Saturday (03--8-08)

I have been awake since 8pm Friday and I only had the luxury of having two 20-minute powers nap while I was at work. I had been doing review audits the whole and pondering what did I do wrong with my ccm exam. My caramel frapp did not help at all because I was so sleepy. There was also my 2-4pm appointment at Robinson's Corporate Tower because I won a 3d2n stay at Days Hotel (i'm not sure if I should be happy because I got the Dumaguete branch). The people from Days Hotel even told us that we had to pay 800php for the tax that we will incur during our stay. Worst of all is that we had to go thru lots of crap just to get the certificate and being informed that we had fax our reservation within 14 days. We had to view some 30minute video presentation about time sharing or vacation sharing thingy. After going thru the Days Hotel, me and my partner went to Greenhills to looks for clothes that I can wear at work and check out the latest release of my favorite anime. I was able to get a pair of pants and a polo shirt but not at the price that I wanted (di kumagat pambabarat ko). We attended the anticipated mass and I was trying to fight off drowsiness while listening to the sermon. We had a nice dinner at Gerry's and not much of the dinner time crowd while we were there. We had chopsuey and favorite pork sisig. Food served around 4-8 minutes after our order was taken. The refills did not take an eternity to happen. The manager was there all the time to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction. The flower garden at the kid's park near the office. My second does of coffee and vainly trying keep myself awake (i'm awake for almost 24hours). Dinner time at Gerry's (yey! feeding time!) Chopsuey! Yum! Yum!

Another Aveneto Weekend (030208)

We also ordered Aveneto classic pizza. Taste and thin crust is ok. Did not go cold even with kinda freezing resto aircon.

Pasta for the night. Carbonara with chicken strips. Serving is definitely good for two (even three perhaps). Wait time took around 5 - 8 minutes. Sauce is not that salty which is ok and served hot.

Yep! Another weekend dinner spent at Aveneto (Trinoma branch). We tried another combination this time and it was a good decision. My partner hatched up a new menu order for next week and I think she prefers any pasta served with chicken strip. LOL!

Aveneto weekend

Me and my girlfriend decided to visit Trinoma for our regular weekend trip to the mall. I was also in the mood to buy a new tv set because my old set was not working. I've been missing on my weekly dose of Future Weapons and NBA TV. Unfortunately, we were not able to see a good buy so off we went to look a nice place to have dinner. We were thinking if we try out this new resto who has japanese style steaks in their menu but the waiting line made us think twice. So back to our old Aveneto and the same old waiting line and lucky for us that we only waited 2-5 minutes (we were scanning the menu that time). We decided to try nut pesto with chicken strips and pepperoni pizza. The place was unusuaaly noise that time and the couple to my left were trying to outdo the noise from the whole restaurant. I was able to know what were their summer itinerary and the guy was having trouble looking for a cure for his cough & colds. The family to my right has 4 rascal kids who seem to forget that they are inside the restaurant and should try to behave as much as they can (Hello! This is not the play area of mcdonald's!) Their dad seems ineffective about controlling the kids as he and his wife were busy talking about some important stuff while their kinds were making hell inside the resto. The food was ok and we got our order in a timely manner. Big serving as always and we did not regret ordering nut pesto with chicken strips. PIzza was alright although I wished it had more cheese. Resto music was good and they were playing 80's - 90's music.

Next blog entry: Assasination of Jesse James (not a very good date movie...)

Chinatown Weekend

My and my partner decided to spend our weekend in a different way. No late night movie, avoid coffee, and having dinner at the mall (*sigh* i miss eating at aveneto). Anyways, we went to 168 right after attending morning mass and found the place quite dizzying.People were streaming left and right (add the afternoon heat as well) will make anyone give up. We were able to get some good buys (boxers and slippers) although we we not that happy with what we've bought because the boxers is not that good compared to what we were getting from Greenhills. After 168, we went to China Town to do some jewelry hunting and the usual food trip. We got for an hour and good thing I was able to get someone to lead us to Ongpin. I bought some food items from Eng Bee Tin and we ate at the noodle house beside it (I thought the owner was the same). The food was good and I think there was no msg added because i did not have my itching episode again. Next time, we'll go to "Mr. Ube" and that is the noodle shop that being owned and operated by the owner of Eng Bee Tin.

Food Pixs

Friday night - Team lunch and the client treated to a Kenny Roger's lunch (yum! yum!) Saturday - After a killer 11 hour shift. Me and my friend tried World Chicken at Trinoma. Pasta was good and the grilled chicken was ok. Pizza tastes good and i think they added kesong puti instead of the usual cheddar or parmesan.

Sunday - Still thinking of where to eat at. Still thinking about Aveneto and it's famous pasta and pizza :)

Pics from last weekend

Name of the place: Carlo's Pizza Tagytay

Me and my girlfriend ordered a 12" Verano pizza (cheese and tomato sauce only) and baked macaroni. Almost forgot that we ordered two bottomless iced teas. The people from Carlo's were attentive and took time to help us choose what we should eat that evening. Our order came in like 5-10 (now that's what I call quick!) and the melted cheese looks AWESOME. After saying a quick prayer, we started our weekend food trip. The baked mac was ok and the cheese was all over it and was like stretching itself to the max (no exaggeration here-lol). The elbow pasta was cooked just right and was complimented by the sweet taste of the tomato sauce. Verano pizza was a-ok because there were parts of the pizza that has more cheese so it was a real treat to find those slices. Considering the cold climate of Tagaytay, our orders were still warm during our food trip.
