Another Photoshop Sunday

It's nice to see office mates smiling after a grueling work week.

Sino naman ang pumukaw ng atensyon ni avhen? Hmmmm...

a. May hombre na local?
b. May hombre na imported?
c. Matagal ang payday?
d. At least weekend na ren kahit wala pang payday...
e. Takot siya na ma late ulit...lol

Another lesson learned about Photoshop.

a. Smoke effect.
b. Loads of patience is a must.
c. It's kind of stressful to the hands.
d. Think out of the box.
e. Try to understand the instruction (even though they're not helping).

This pic is beyond photoshop repair and i have decided to sharpen the image a bit then add some chit chat. Hehehe ^_^

Ummm...

Eavesdropping...

Nung bago pa lang si Inday sa UK ay binati sya ng isang kapitbahay nang palabas sya sa kanyang tinitirahan.

Brit Guy: Eh up! You’re new around here aren’t ya?

Inday: That’s a very astute observation, I admire your perspicacity. Yes, I recently migrated from a distant sovereign state.

Brit Guy: Ugghh, your fancy words are giving me a headache.

Inday: Oh I’m sorry, please forgive my verbosity. Here have some acetylsalicylic acid.

Dumugo ilong ng Brit guy.

My Other Team (nagpapa=ampon ba ako-hehehe)

That's mader thet/thet/thetay. My former boss who always makes a point to be a small but terrible lady sa office (bully kasi-hehehe). She was never afraid of the taller employees around her. But she has been an avid supporter of her staff (wag lang financial-hehehe). She just celebrated her bday last week and that's her current team behind her. Those pizzas made me awfully hungry when I took the pictures of her celebration.

That's Josh or sometimes Beyonce (especially on a full moon night). He was the master of the bingo ceremony during last week's birthday party for Thet. I had a fun time listening to his listening to his side comments during the game (big letter "O"??)

An edited shot of Dij's board during the games.

Beach Video

This was taken on a lazy weekend at Galera (i know guys that i am so addicted to Galera-LOL). My only complaint was that it wasn't a good time to swim that day because of the waves and the undertow. I'd like to quote the old saying - "It's better to be safe than sorry ". That became our motto during that time. But we were still able to enjoy the place and get our much needed dose of fresh air. Better yet, the place was not that expensive compared to current rate at this time of the year (it's peak season already).

The trip back home (from Galera)

I almost forgot this video! This has been in my youtube account for some time. I took the video while we waiting for out ferry trip to start it's way back to the Batangas Pier. There were some kids who were asking the ferry passengers to throw coins at the sea and they'll search for it. I'm worried because the kids were too thin and sun burned. I'm not even sure if the local health department are worried about the kids.

Aveneto weekend

Me and my girlfriend decided to visit Trinoma for our regular weekend trip to the mall. I was also in the mood to buy a new tv set because my old set was not working. I've been missing on my weekly dose of Future Weapons and NBA TV. Unfortunately, we were not able to see a good buy so off we went to look a nice place to have dinner. We were thinking if we try out this new resto who has japanese style steaks in their menu but the waiting line made us think twice. So back to our old Aveneto and the same old waiting line and lucky for us that we only waited 2-5 minutes (we were scanning the menu that time). We decided to try nut pesto with chicken strips and pepperoni pizza. The place was unusuaaly noise that time and the couple to my left were trying to outdo the noise from the whole restaurant. I was able to know what were their summer itinerary and the guy was having trouble looking for a cure for his cough & colds. The family to my right has 4 rascal kids who seem to forget that they are inside the restaurant and should try to behave as much as they can (Hello! This is not the play area of mcdonald's!) Their dad seems ineffective about controlling the kids as he and his wife were busy talking about some important stuff while their kinds were making hell inside the resto. The food was ok and we got our order in a timely manner. Big serving as always and we did not regret ordering nut pesto with chicken strips. PIzza was alright although I wished it had more cheese. Resto music was good and they were playing 80's - 90's music.

Next blog entry: Assasination of Jesse James (not a very good date movie...)

Weekends at Galera

Let me share some pics from our recent weekend trip. Three days and nights of fun and headaches. Started with our booking being cancelled because of "peak season" and "lots of visitors" excuses from the owner of our favorite place. Good thing I still have a few friends there who helped me find a much better place to stay. Aside form that I came to Galera with not much sleep and I think I only did a 10-minute power nap back at the office.
The weather was crazy! Day one was packed with lots dark clouds and some rain showers. Day two was had darker rain clouds floating around and mild-strong winds the whole day. Third day was blessed for the clouds cleared way for the sun for a few hours and then back to cloudy day mode again. Trip back to Batangas Pier was crazy as well. The ferry ride was punctuated by big waves at the middle of the sea. Head count of people throwing was about 5. All "exotics" tagging along with their foreigner boyfriends. I'll be posting another blog entry about rowdy and noisy Indians or middle-east type looking people. If i had my way - i'd kick them out of them ferry boat for being annoying.

Chinatown Weekend

My and my partner decided to spend our weekend in a different way. No late night movie, avoid coffee, and having dinner at the mall (*sigh* i miss eating at aveneto). Anyways, we went to 168 right after attending morning mass and found the place quite dizzying.People were streaming left and right (add the afternoon heat as well) will make anyone give up. We were able to get some good buys (boxers and slippers) although we we not that happy with what we've bought because the boxers is not that good compared to what we were getting from Greenhills. After 168, we went to China Town to do some jewelry hunting and the usual food trip. We got for an hour and good thing I was able to get someone to lead us to Ongpin. I bought some food items from Eng Bee Tin and we ate at the noodle house beside it (I thought the owner was the same). The food was good and I think there was no msg added because i did not have my itching episode again. Next time, we'll go to "Mr. Ube" and that is the noodle shop that being owned and operated by the owner of Eng Bee Tin.

My next destination...Hundred Islands

It all started when I got curious about this place after hearing stories from my officemates about this place. I only heard about this place from my history/geography class back in high school. Fortunately, I was looking for another alternative destination to my usual weekend destinations.

The place is located north of Manila and approximately 3-5 hours via bus. Hopefully, I will survive this trip because I am not used to traveling for more than four hours.

Currently, my s.o and my former officemates agreed to go along. Planning can be quite a headache because we have no idea how much we should aside for a 3d2n trip. I'm also having a hard time getting confirmation from my officemates (good thing I have Galera as plan B). This would be my post birthday gift to myself/post monthsarry gift & post valentines gift to my s.o. Whew! 3 birds with one stone. Hehehe! ^_^

The infamous "Renaldo Lapuz" audition

I was trying to recover from a post 300 clip (dubbed by a group of Pinoys) who sounded like either small men or a gang high on helium was doing the voice overs. It was 5-10minutes of laughing and they did a nice job making that spoof.

Anyways, this video caught my attention and listen how this man makes William Hung a second place (or needs to do more in the a for effort department). I was amused to see how Paula Abdul looked while the poor guy was singing his original composition. Even better was Randy trying to cruise along this part of the audition. Now take that William! :P

Weekend Jan 12-13 08

Me and my gf went to Trinoma to check the place out for any good buy. We almost came up empty handed because not all stores were having their stuff on sale. Most of the stuff on sale were selected items (very very old stock). I was even hoping that Olympic village had a size 11 1/2 of that DM's pair that I was looking out for. However, lady luck was not on my side and they only have a size 10 for me.
Good thing we were able to snag a nice pair of pants from Dockers (but it's still expensive). It's a real pain walking around the mall and trying to find that nice buy. Add the fact that I just came off from a 10 hour work shift and prior to that my gf was complaining about her back pain. I'm attaching some pics of some other things that we were up to while looking for a good buy.

Hitman

Just got home and watched Hitman earlier this evening. We were supposed to watch "Enchanted" but the lady at the ticket stand mentioned that it was a "free for all" seating. Me and gf were not into the idea of hunting for available seats because we might be seated in front of the screen (neck pain and eye strain galore). So as usual we took plan B (guaranteed seating) and choose between Hitman or Beowolf. We agreed to watch Hitman and gf mentioned that it looks like a guy movie. Hehehe :) The movie was ok and nott a dull moment for me especially those blood splatter scenes. How I wish the movie was longer and had more dark humor to compliment the hitman.

Oktoberfest 07 (closing party)

I sneaked out of the office and met friends from the lounge. Purps texted me earlier that the group would be going to Metrowalk to attend the closing party of the SMB Oktoberfest 2007 and mentioned that they would be there around 7pm onwards. I went to work early and checked if all my to do list is in place (i only have a 30min-1hour to be with those guys). They way going to the event was a crazy one. Many teenagers were scattered along the road even at the vicinity of the event area - they were the unlucky ones that were not allowed by the event security because they look troublemakers (snatchers and pickpockets). Their parents should have made them stay back home and do their homework instead.

Going back to where i should be...

I met Purps and the gang who were seated at the front of Iceberg and were having dinner; i wanted to join them with their dinner although time won't give me the luxury of doing it (i only have a 1 hour break for my shift). i missed being with them (yeah-close enough to being with my old barkada). After 40 mins of exchanging pleasantires - I bade them good bye since I have tons of reports to do (i even brought home some) and bought my friday night supply of caramel frapp.

I'm hoping to see them again :)

weekend oct 27-28

1. I can't wait to get a copy of World War Hulk 5 (let's if the green giant can smash sentry).

2. Attend mass with my gf and chill out afterwards.

3. Check if the the price for a 4gig memory stick is a good buy nowadays.

4. Get ready for the long weekend :)
